Don't let the core count fool one, the machine is very-well optimised, so while it may look like there's fewer cores than other AMD and Intel processors on this list, you will still get excellent performance out of this laptop.

The laptop comes with a 16-inch 3K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is quite common in creator laptops, allowing for more real estate on the screen when working on projects. In our testing, we found the the display to be bright at 415 nits, and we got an sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage of 100%, making this an excellent machine for your content creation needs. Of course, the 16-inch display is also fantastic for consuming content. The laptop comes with a 13th gen Intel Core i7-1360P, which is a powerful mobile processor with 12 cores. However, it does fall a bit short in multi-thread performance of last year's i7-1280P because of its lower core count. That being said it is still a very fast and powerful processor. This is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 6400 MHz, and 1 TB of NVMe SSD storage. You've got great I/O support as well, including two thunderbolt ports making this is a great package for anyone looking for a capable 2-in-1 laptop.

The LG Gram 17 features a 17-inch display, like the name suggests, but manages to be surprising lightweight and portable despite the large screen. The 17-inch screen features a 16:10 aspect ratio display, with a resolution of 2560x1600, and an advertised 100% sRGB, DCI-P3 coverage, which is excellent for content creation. This laptop features an Intel Core i7-1360P, which is the same as the laptop above, with 12 cores and 16 threads. If that wasn't enough, the laptop also comes with an NVIDIA RTX 3050, making this an excellent creator laptop. While the RTX 3050 is a relatively weaker GPU in NVIDIAs 30 series, its presence greatly boosts the LG Gram 17's content creation capabilities when it comes to tasks like video editing and rendering, which the 1360P would have struggled with on its own. If that wasn't enough, the new LG Gram 17 comes with up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of NVMe SSD storage, making it quite a deal for content creators looking for a lightweight laptop with a large display.

The rest of the hardware has for the most part remained the same. You get a fantastic 4K or 2.8K OLED multi-touch display with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, making this a great laptop for content creation on the go. You also get 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 5600 Mhz, and 1 TB of NVMe SSD storage. The 13th gen i7-1360P provides faster performance overall, but does fall short of last year's i7-1280P when it comes to multi-thread performance, due the 13th gen processor having fewer cores. However, like we mentioned, the 13th gen processor still nets an overall improvement in performance over the already fantastic 12th gen processor. So if you're looking for premium thin and light with a fantastic display and great performance paired with portability, you can't go wrong with the Lenovo Yoga 9i either.

There is a pretty massive leap in performance over last year's MacBook Pro 14, with estimates averaging an overall improvement of 20-25% across the board. That's pretty huge, considering how powerful the MacBrook Pro already was. The M2 SoCs are really pulling their weight it would seem. Other than a straight up improvement in performance, the MacBook Pro 14 also promises good battery life, while keeping thermals in check. The laptop is not known to be loud at all, and will breeze through everyday tasks with ease. The laptop features a bright 14-inch display with accurate colours, making this one of the best creator laptops you can pick up in the market. If that wasn't enough, you can get up to 96 GB of RAM and 8 TB of SSD storage, which will take care of pretty much any and all of your storage and memory needs. Of course, that's also going to cost you a bomb, and possibly an arm, a leg, a kidney, a lung, and more.

When you think of a premium thin and light laptop, the Dell XPS 13 is a laptop that's guaranteed to pop up. The Dell XPS 13 Plus is the latest from Dell which features a 12th gen Intel Core i7-1260P processor with 12 cores and 16 threads. This is a powerful processor which offers great performance. The Dell XPS 13 Plus also features a new design, while the exterior maintains the same look as its predecessor, the XPS 13 Plus features a new keyboard which we really liked, and a new floating touchbar. The laptop still maintains top-notch build quality. The XPS 13 Plus comes with a bright and crisp OLED display, with a UHD+ resolution (that's 3840x2400) and near 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, making it great for all your content creation needs. We did find the Dell XPS 13 Plus to be a bit lacking when it came I/O port offerings; there are only two type-C ports. Both of them are Thunderbolt ports which are fairly versatile, but we definitely felt the lack of ports.

Most of the laptops on the list so far have been extrememly premium thin and light or creator laptops. Meaning they're all also incredibly expensive. However, we've got an option for those of you who are looking for a budget laptop as well. This is the Acer Swift X, a thin and light laptop which features an 11th gen Intel Core i7-11390H. This is a quad-core processor with a max clock speed of 5 GHz, which is pretty fast. But the lack of cores means it will struggle with intensive tasks like rendering. However, the Acer Swift X also comes with an NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti to help with those tasks. This, paired with 16 GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM, 1 TB of NVMe Storage, and a FHD display with an advertised brightness of 300 nits and 100% sRGB coverage, make this an appealing laptop for students. Or anyone looking for an entry level or budget creator laptop.
